LAS VEGAS VALLEY WATER DISTRICT, Las Vegas, NV  -   April 2005 to Present

Provided enterprise application architecture, development, and support for a number of projects:
Lead Developer for the Document Management and Records Retention suite of applications, including Documentum, Webtop, and Captiva.
Acted as technical lead for the web service aspect of the Integration Team, designing and implemented SOA-based solutions throughout the enterprise.
Provided advanced training and mentoring to team members on language use, OOP design, and best practices.
Created enterprise tooling for source control, build management, continuous integration, and code generation.
Implemented migrations between Java and .NET platforms.

UNITED BROTHERHOOD OF CARPENTERS, Las Vegas, NV  -   August 2002 to April 2005

Team Leader of the TRAIN development group, directing all aspects of the project including requirements gathering, specification creation, and code implementation phases of a nation-wide apprentice training and tracking program. The TRAIN project leveraged several key J2EE technologies and 3rd-party tools, including Oracle RDBMS, WebSphere Application Server, Struts application framework, and Jakarta Object-Relational Bridge.

INDUSTRIAL HEALTHCARE SYSTEMS, INC., Reno, NV  -   August 2001 to August 2002

Supervised the development and deployment of several commercial software projects including LegacyFaces, Emod and SimplePay. Designed web-based interfaces with J2EE and DB2 to extend the life and usability of legacy AS/400 applications used by the Workers Compensation Insurance industry. Engaged and supervised all facets of the development process from concept to deployment. Developed extensive multimedia demos for various projects.

ETREPPID TECHNOLOGIES, INC., Reno, NV  -   July 2000 to August 2001

Designed, developed, and managed a wide variety of applications and projects including:
Intranet database security systems for major resort clients, including the MGM Mirage properties (Mirage, Bellagio, MGM Grand, New York New York, Treasure Island, etc.).
Web-based applications for various film industry clients, including Kevin Costner, Patrick Swayze, Don Johnson, Cheech Marin, and others. These projects included multiplayer games utilizing advanced tools such as Shockwave 3D.
Official websites for Major League Baseball Players Association, National Football League Coaches Association, and D1 Athletes (a major sports recruiting firm).
Database-driven multimedia kiosk system, which was then installed within every cabin of every ship in the Crystal Cruise Lines fleet.
Highly efficient, custom server component for Macromedia Shockwave and Projector projects, thus allowing simultaneous connectivity between multiple database servers and providing for extended multi-player functionality.
Database system for the Fall 2000 Armani catalog (fashion design).

Designed, developed, and implemented dynamic web-accessible applications including:
eCommerce management/POS system including customized functions for complex price matrices, multiple shipping definitions, customer account data and management, email list generation, multiple interface options, multiple storefronts per client, unlimited product catalogs, simple product kit grouping, merchandising, product linking, inventory control, and multiple payment methods.
Multimedia games and entertainment/infotainment systems utilizing Macromedia Flash/Shockwave.
Email processing systems and enhancements for websites and dynamic applications.
Dynamic content management/delivery systems enabling corporate clients the ability to maintain and refresh website content with minimal technical expertise.

Established plan and processes for infrastructure upgrades and systems maintenance including:
Design and expansion of LAN into a true Wide Area Network (WAN) for all company locations.
Replacement of outdated information systems with state-of-the-art equipment including multiprocessor database, accounting, file, application, print, web, email, fax, and remote access servers (with all systems utilizing Windows NT).
Design and installation of a 100baseT switched Fast Ethernet network, including upgrade and/or replacement of all outdated workstations and network devices in order to maximize productivity gains.

RAM IMAGING, South Lake Tahoe, CA  -   5/97 to 12/97

Lead Developer for the Interactive Guide to Lake Tahoe project. Designed, implemented, and administrated various in-house systems, including a multi-platform (Windows NT and Macintosh) TCP/IP local area network and a project management/billing database. Provided technical support and client training services. Utilized various multimedia skills including audio/video production, digital/print photography, interface design and interactive programming.

COMPUTER BASE, Reno, NV  -   4/95 to 5/97

Managed one of the largest computer service facilities in Northern Nevada. Consistently produced the highest number of billed hours and highest customer satisfaction rate within the company. Designed and managed a full departmental database and paperwork tracking system. Authored training materials, repair procedures, and personally trained all new employees. Acted as liaison with customers and vendors; successfully resolved disputes to the satisfaction of both client and employer. Personally performed all warranty service and repair work for the Washoe County School District (a very important client). Designed and maintained company website and online sales/support system.
